MSI has completed several projects including those shown here. Prior to starting MSI, Richard had considerable construction management experience working for a large engineering firm which included serving six years as a project manager on the Kansas City International Airport Terminal Buildings Renovation, and many other projects. Served as Director over large central utility plant which included three 900hp fire tube boilers, 9000-ton chiller system with associated cooling towers, 6MW emergency generator capacity associated fuel storage and distribution systems, fire protection systems, medical gas and instrument air compressor systems, water softeners, water treatment program, building automation and computer maintenance management systems. System upgrades including new boiler burner units, reverse osmosis system, increased salt storage, all compressed air systems, replaced cooling tower fill, added side stream filtration and many other improvements.
While serving as Facility Maintenance Director, responsible for facility maintenance operations including over 2M SF at KU Hospital main campus and multiple offsite facilities, responsible for 275kW roof based solar panel system, successfully completed two Joint Commission audits in addition to other applicable audits. Achieved Certified Energy Star Rating, completed numerous system upgrades, clinic space remodels and greatly enhanced maintenance department response and quality with an operations and control room center.

Responsible for renovation of a 100 year old building converted to a medical office building. The building was completely gutted and built back incorporating state of the art systems and technology.
This project included the construction of a New Public
Works building for the City of Warrensburg, Missouri.
This building has an energy efficient design with all
electric heat pump, extra building insulation, building
“Tyvek” wrap and insulated glass windows.
A refreshing renovation and expansion to an outdated community pool area created a fun, multi-purpose water park.
Design began in August 2008 and through considerable effort, opened on time Memorial Day 2009. Project was delivered on time, on budget, as planned.
A new modern look and efficient working conditions were the goals for the renovation of the City Hall. The effectual design of space and the proficient procurement of the contractors, materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment provided the City’s staff with a modern and functional work space.
Project came in ahead of schedule and under budget.
